For one of our clients, a private bank based in Zürich, we are looking for a :

 

SENIOR PRIVATE BANKING ASSISTANT

 

Job description

  • Support Private Bankers to develop sales pitches and identify target clients for particular products
  • Support Private Bankers in managing their client portfolio through analysing client book
  • Organise and support Bankers' preparations for client success (preparing full client brief in advance of a meeting, researching a prospect, preparing relevant documentation, etc.)
  • Attend client meetings and events to establish strong and enduring working relationships
  • Maintain an up to date working knowledge of the markets, economic position, research view and product 
  • Develop a sales strategy jointly with the Bankers to exceed performance targets
  • Support team with technical queries and complex cases in relation to field of expertise (onboarding or credit)
  • Gathers feedback/issues, raise them to the managers 
  • Provide additional ad hoc training and actively share knowledge across the Private Banking Executive population to ensure best practice is adhered to 
  • Work on ad hoc projects and assist with the implementation and development of policies, procedures and systems
  • Actively make suggetions for process improvements and leads in the implementation
  • Escalate breaches of policies/procedures appropriately
  • Respond in a timely and professional manner to client requests, owning task execution end to end, working proactively with Operations and various departments to ensure delivery, resolve issues and reduce/remove errors
  • Maintain the system record of client requests, situation, events and reports
  • Perform daily operations and transactions on clients' accounts
  • Complie with all corporate policies, front office procedures, regulatory and internal/external audit requirements and managing risk and control
  • Assist Private Bankers in ensuring adherence to regulatory and Wealth requirements
  • Keep Private Bankers completely informed of interactions with clients and share any insights gained through client servicing, routing clients to bankers when conversation moves toward giving advice or when a sales opportunity is identified
  • Assist Private Bankers in administration and management of client relationships including attending meetings, preparation of CRM notes, drafting of letters and other documentation, annual client reviews all overseen and signed-off by the Private Banker

 

Required profile

  • University degree or equivalent
  • 7-10 years of experience in a similar role within a private bank
  • Interest in financial markets
  • Fast learner, with experience of becoming familiary with new IT systems quickly and accurately
  • Knowledge of Avaloq a must
  • Excellent customer service skills and sensitivity to the needs and profile of HNW clients
  • Positive, multi-task and self motivated
  • Excellent ability to plan and organise work and set priorities
  • Good interpersonal skills and adopts a team focus
  • Good influencing and negotiating skills
  • Ability to make clear presentation of information both written and orally
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with a heavy workload
  • Ability to solve problems 
  • Fluent in English, German and/or French a plus
