For one of our clients, a private bank based in Geneva, we are looking for a:

 

BUSINESS RISK MANAGER

 

Job description

Within the first line of defence, you will play a key role in ensuring the proper execution of transactional controls and risk monitoring activities, working closely with Front Office and internal stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform ex-ante controls on client transactions, including cash and securities flows
  • Review and validate incoming and outgoing transactions in line with internal policies and risk framework
  • Provide guidance and support to Front Office teams in case of doubts, suspicions or risk-related queries
  • Act as a back-up to Market Heads for the validation of client instructions
  • Conduct ex-post analysis of alerts generated by transaction monitoring tools
  • Investigate, document and close alerts in a timely and compliant manner
  • Manage and document account blocking and unblocking processes
  • Perform regular quality controls to ensure consistency and compliance with procedures
  • Contribute to the preparation of KPIs and risk-related reporting

 

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within a wealth management or private banking environment
  • Strong experience in transactional monitoring and operational controls
  • Good knowledge of Swiss regulatory framework, particularly AML requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with financial systems and tools
  • Fluent in English and French; additional languages are an asset
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Risk-aware mindset with a high level of rigor
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Proactive, solution-oriented and business-minded approach
  • Strong communication skills and team spirit
  • High level of discretion and professional integrity
