For one of our clients, a well-known Trust Company based in Geneva, we are looking for a

 

TRUST ACCOUNTANT

 

Job description

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting of a portfolio of trusts, companies and foundations across multiple jurisdictions (including Swiss companies).
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns for simple Swiss entities.
  • Produce accounting reports and financial information for clients, trustees and auditors.
  • Liaise with external auditors and respond to accounting-related queries.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records in compliance with applicable standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Trust Officers and other internal stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of client services.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal procedures.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and support the team on technical accounting matters when required.

 

Required profile

  • Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Min. 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally gained within a Trust Company, Fiduciary or international services environment.
  • Experience with the accounting of trusts, offshore structures and foundations is a strong advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Swiss accounting principles and experience preparing financial statements independently.
  • Experience with simple Swiss corporate accounting and tax returns is highly appreciated
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Service-oriented, proactive and reliable with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English. French is a strong advantage.
