For one of our clients, a trust company based in Geneva, we are looking for a:

 

SENIOR COMPLIANCE OFFICER – TRUST COMPANY

 

Job description

  • Oversee operational and administrative functions of the Swiss trust business, ensuring procedures are effective and up to date.
  • Provide corporate secretarial and governance support to local entities.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Swiss regulators and maintain strong relationships with supervisory bodies.
  • Serve as MLRO, ensuring compliance with Swiss AML regulations and group policies.
  • Adapt and implement compliance policies and procedures in coordination with Group Compliance.
  • Review suspicious activity reports (SARs) and identify potential money laundering or terrorist financing concerns.
  • Deliver AML training and promote awareness among staff.
  • Ensure secure and confidential record-keeping of transactions and documents.
  • Support trust officers with CRS and FATCA obligations.
  • Monitor and review key risk indicators and registers, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Contribute to operational and compliance meetings and assist with group initiatives.
  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and adapt internal processes accordingly.

 

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Professional qualification in Compliance/Regulation (e.g., CAMS) required; trust and estate planning qualification is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the trust or legal industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss regulatory environment and AML legislation.
  • Proven experience with UHNW clients and in administering companies, trusts, and international structures.
  • Proficiency in trust management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English and French; Spanish is an asset.
