For a leading global commodities trading company, we are seeking a talented and hands-on:

 

GROUP TAX MANAGER

 

to play a pivotal role alongside the Group Head of Tax.

 

Key responsabilities

  • Tax Reporting: Manage the group’s corporate tax accounting for quarterly and year-end reporting, including preparing essential global reports like Country-by-Country and Pillar 2.
  • Tax Compliance & Risk Management: Review corporate tax compliance, ensure compliance with tax legislation across jurisdictions, manage tax authority relationships, and assess tax risks for international operations and transactions.
  • Transfer Pricing: Maintain and refine transfer pricing policies, prepare documentation and analysis to meet regulatory requirements, and work with the business to structure operations to promote tax efficiency and mitigate tax risk.
  • VAT & Indirect Tax: Ensure accurate and timely VAT/GST returns in compliance with local regulations across multiple jurisdictions and monitor changes VAT laws and regulations.
  • Tax Advisory: Provide support on international business projects, M&A activities, and provide operational support and tax advice to the business, finance and management.
  • Tax Systems & Processes: Identify opportunities for process improvements and stay updated on international tax developments.

 

Required profile

  • Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    A Tax Expert Diploma is a plus.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in international tax within multinational commodity / trading groups or public accounting firms, with expertise in VAT, transfer pricing, and corporate tax.
    Broad and strong knowledge base across international tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements for corporate tax, indirect tax, accounting, business systems and processes
    Experience with holding companies in international groups is a plus.
  • Skills: Analytical, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.
    Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
    Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate complex tax concepts to non-experts.
    A proactive, hands-on approach with a global mindset.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; knowledge of French, Spanish, or Portuguese is a bonus.
