For one of our clients, a well established Trust Company based in Geneva, we are looking for a:

 

COMPLIANCE OFFICER (80-100%) - Trust Company

 

Job description

  • Support the Compliance function in the day-to-day management of regulatory and risk-related matters
  • Conduct KYC, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Sanctions reviews, ensuring files remain accurate and up to date
  • Perform periodic client reviews, ongoing monitoring and risk assessments in accordance with internal policies
  • Review the onboarding of legal structures, including trusts, foundations and multi-jurisdictional corporate structures
  • Monitor client transactions and investigate unusual activity where appropriate
  • Screen clients against sanctions and adverse media databases, assessing and documenting potential matches
  • Maintain and update client information within internal compliance systems and databases
  • Assist in the management of PEP records and other regulatory registers
  • Provide compliance guidance to internal stakeholders and escalate risk matters when necessary
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal compliance reports and regulatory documentation
  • Support regulatory reporting, including MROS/SAR-related matters where required
  • Participate in the development of internal compliance procedures and deliver regulatory awareness sessions to employees
  • Monitor regulatory developments and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the compliance framework

 

Required profile

  • University degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
  • Previous experience in a Compliance role within a Trust Company, Fiduciary, Private Bank or financial institution in Switzerland
  • Solid knowledge of Swiss AML/KYC regulations and compliance best practices
  • Experience reviewing complex legal structures, including trusts and foundations
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Proactive, organised and solution-oriented mindset
  • High level of integrity, discretion and professionalism
  • Fluent in English; French is a strong asset
