Role Overview
The Data Team Lead is a temporary leadership position providing critical operational support to the Head of Data & AI. The
role manages day-to-day team coordination and operational execution, allowing the Head of Data & AI to focus on strategic
initiatives. Critically, this role will actively contribute to executing day-to-day data operational matters, bridging limited capacity
within the team and ensuring continuity of service delivery during peak periods or resource constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Coordination & Training
Organize and run team meetings and coordination sessions to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
Prioritize, define, and review tasks across the team, ensuring effective allocation and high-quality completion.
Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced colleagues.
Deliver functional documentation and training sessions on data systems and workflows.
.Day-to-Day Operational Support
Cover daily operational activities and short-term capacity gaps.
Perform data quality checks, resolve discrepancies, and ensure data consistency across various data systems.
Manage incoming data requests and ad-hoc questions.
Prepare routine data reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Drive automation and efficiency in data workflows, reconciliation, and reporting.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Fund Operations, Investments, IT, Finance).
Liaise with external partners and vendors to ensure adherence to data-related contractual obligations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience
7-10 years of proven experience in data management, systems management, or operational leadership within
private equity, asset management, or financial services.
Experience in team coordination, project management, or operational management roles is essential.
Background in supervising implementation projects, working with fund controlling teams, fund administrators,
and software providers is highly valued.
Strong understanding of investment operations, fund accounting, and portfolio management workflows is
required.
Technical Knowledge
Strong knowledge of data governance and data management principles.
Hands-on experience with private equity-specific systems (eFront, DOMOS, iLEVEL, etc.) and reporting tools
(Power BI, Tableau, SQL, etc.)
Proficiency in SQL, VB.NET, JavaScript, or Python.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Fluency in English and French required.
